Dear Jess and family, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I worked with Jackie for six years in Unilever and she was always the bright spot in my day. She sat near me and would share a laugh, a joke, a smile, a knowing look that gently made fun of the absurdities of office life or a quick chat on a smoke break outside. She was so kind and empathetic and a proper listener. She was so so proud of you Jess, her face would light up and her eyes twinkled with love whenever she would talk about you, which was often. I was always so impressed too at how close she was to all her family and how much joy she got from being part of such a close-knit tribe.
We drove to a colleague’s hen night in Galway once and were chatting and laughing so much in the car that we got lost and were quite late arriving! It was always light and laughter when Jackie was around. They sure are a lucky lot in Heaven to have Jackie there with them now. May her memory be a blessing, take care, Deirdre x
