I was saddened to hear about Jackie's passing. He was great for the chats when you met him on walks. Jackie was kind to us in our youth allowing us to play in the tennis courts. A wonderful neighbour. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to the extended McMullin family on Jackie's passing, I first met Jackie back in the days of Drumbar GAA Club where he was always at hand to help and advise the youth of the day, later as a neighbour, always a gentleman and great for a chat and the banter. We visited Jackie off and on when on holiday. He always had that look of surprise that made us feel so welcome and asked how everyone was with a genuine interest. On my last visit he took me back to the house he grew up in, the house I had visited many times when I was young. He was very proud to show me how time stood still there, and preserved so many happy memories for both of us.

I remembered Jackie as a child visiting my grandmother Margaret McMullin and still have a doll he bought me called Jackie too! He was a lovely man and brought so much life to the house when he came to visit. Condolences to all the family and may he rest in peace ❤️

He taught me how to play tennis and never minded us kids taking over the courts. In recent years, I always looked forward to our chats when I was home. He’ll be deeply missed. I regarded him from boyhood as a very talented snooker player. Games of golf on the snooker table involving Jackie, Harry Diver, Vincent Granaghan, at al. were full of laughs, divilment and expert billiard play. They derived so much fun from the game, and many's a gasket was blown as someone fouled to fall back a pocket! I couldn't get the better of any of them at golf into adulthood: they were just too canny, with Jackie's wink after he tied someone up a lovely memory. He was a lovely man, full of respect and consideration for youngsters, and loving a laugh, and we in turn respected him so much. I treasure spending that time in his company all those years ago. He left his mark on us all, and it was such a positive legacy. May his lovely soul rest in peace.
