I'm so sorry for your loss Joan, Mary, Angela, Jacqueline, Joanne, brother Michael & extended family. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. Growing up we were so proud to go to matches to watch our legendary neighbour Jackie togging out for Clare. He provided inspiration to many and contributed so much to the Cratloe GAA community. We will miss his friendly face & banter around Cratloe & 'Jackie O' Gorman's road' won't be the same without him. Rest in peace Jackie.

Like thousands of GAA followers, I had the pleasure of seeing Jackie play for his beloved Clare in some cracking games in Semple Stadium in the 1970's. Reference is made nowadays to "iconic" players..well Jackie was certainly an iconic player of his generation, a teak tough defender with tremendous hurling ability. Peace to his gentle soul.
