Jacques was a wonderful colleague with a special gift of kindness, optimism and graciousness that made him special to all who had the privilege to know him, as I did.

On behalf of the Board and staff of Enable Ireland, I extend our deepest sympathy to Sonia and all of Dr. Noël's family on his passing. All of our thoughts are with you at this sad time. May he rest in peace.
Dear Kay, Aileen and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to you and to your children Jacques, Sonia and Suzanne and to all your grandchildren and extended family on the death of your loving and wonderful husband Jacques.

As a fellow geriatrician I had known Jacques for over 40 years since my registrar days in the Mater in the 1970’s. He was a wonderful colleague in the field of medicine for the elderly and a great friend.

He was a brilliant physician and diagnostician and cared deeply for patients and people especially those who were vulnerable. His close working relationship with his colleague John Lavan set the foundation for the superb service in geriatric medicine that is today in North Dublin.

His diplomatic skills were immense and his sense of humour and fun was huge. He enriched the lives of so many people during his lifetime. Suaimhneass síoraí na bhflaitheas dá anam dílis agus leaba i measc na n-aingeal go raibh aige  - Aileen and J Bernard Walsh

I worked with Dr. Noel in 1997 in St. Mary's in the park. His ward rounds were always preceded by a flurry of activity with his female patients putting on their lipstick and fixing their hair before his arrival. It's a fond memory of a wonderful doctor who epitomised the practice of the art of medicine. Condolences to his family for whom he was so much more. From a former trainee.
With deepest sympathy to Sonia, Jacques ,Susanne and Mrs Noel
