Jake Malone

So desperately sad to hear of Jake’s passing in the last few days . I met Jake due to her expertise with the scissors . She was always so meticulous and precise in everything she did . Suffice to say my hair is in rag order now !
Her warmth, empathy and total lack of interest in the trappings of modern life was unique. Her passing is a loss to all of us who knew her .
May she rest in eternal peace and hopefully have a scissors near to hand in the next world.

A friend and confidante for twenty years, Jake will be sorely missed by everyone in our house. Deepest sympathy to all who loved her.

I feel so sad reading of Jake’s passing. Sad but also very privileged to have met and enjoyed the friendship of one of life’s true diamonds. I have wonderful memories of those Saturdays of hair cutting, chats, laughter, food. Thank you Jake for your friendship, support, kindness and, above all, for being one of the most genuine people I have met. I have an image of my ‘Mumsy’ and you creating the most beautiful garden together. ❤️🧿

I am so saddened to hear the news of Jake’s passing. I will always remember her as this smart, warm, fun woman who made me feel so comfortable right away when I was in Ireland. Spending time with her was exciting and sweet. Jake was so perceptive, inviting, dramatic, and funny. She touched the lives of so many people. I always appreciated her loyalty and affection for my grandmother Maura, and her immediate acceptance of me as family. What a standout Jake was. A real one in a million. She will be greatly missed by us here in Seattle, and by all who loved her.
