It was a real shock to hear the news about James. My sincere condolences to Janice, Luke and Ethan.

I worked closely with James in Maynooth IT over the years. He was helpful to a fault, always upbeat, full of chat and quick with a joke. I have many fond memories of hearing his stories while handing tools to him, whether he was up a ladder or under a desk. He much preferred being out and about with people rather than stuck in the office. He was a real people person, happiest when meeting others, having the chats, and helping to sort something out.
