My Uncle Danno has now lain down, to take his final sleep.

Leaving all of us behind, with memories and our grief.

He touched us with his heart of love, a love that runs so deep.

He’d want to see us smile and laugh, not see us mourn and weep.

I see him with his brothers two (2), united now once more

As young men like they used to be. How they made my world soar.

I see the three playing ball again, that Hanna Pianna Band.

Paddy (Pianna), Danno (Joanna) and Mikey (Baby Grand).

Our Danno’s left this world for good, His Soul it had to fly.

And we must hold His love so close, and say, for now goodbye.

But He’s still here and walks with us, although we cannot see.

Only mortal form is left behind, His love lasts, eternally.

Our lives are filled with joy and pain, sometimes it takes a toll.

I take comfort, Danno’s by my side. He’s here, part of my Soul.
