Very sad news... I got to know Jim in college and have such happy memories of our philosophy study group. Jim was a very gifted and inspiring person. Deepest sympathy to Mary and all the Dwan family.

To Mary, Ciara, Cassandra, Jacqui and Elizabeth. I was so sorry to hear of James’ passing. He was such a warm, lovely man; always so gracious and welcoming, with a genuine interest in others. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I will always remember our families growing up together. Jim and Mary were always present at every major family event of ours and Jim could be relied upon to bring a guitar and start a sing song that would go on into the small hours. Thank you for the cherished memories and my condolences to the whole family.

Brokenhearted to hear about Jim, RIP. I remember him as a gifted musician. He played that talent with the utmost humility. He was a marvellous instrumentalist, an arranger, a singer, and a composer of tunes and lyrics.
You Mary and family, have to carry the burden of inconsolable grief.
