James F. King

I am much saddened by the passing of my good friend Jim King. All the McHugh's in Minnesota send our love and sympathy to Marion, John, brother John and all the King family. My family remember his extended stay with our parents in the mid-1970's and all recall his charm and hold to the 'stories' we all have of Jim's time with us and the 2024 reunion we had with him.
Cheryl and I, our children and grandchildren treasure the time we spent with Jim on our visit to the UK in 2002, to Ireland in 2018 and Jim's 2024 visit with John in Minnesota.
For myself our time together went back to our time sharing housing in Clontarf during our Trinity days. We had memorable evenings at the castle, the city, Howth, a memorable visit to the north following Bloody Sunday and many long walks in the neighborhood. It has been an important part of my life to keep up this friendship over many miles and years. We solved many of the world's problems always in great humor and pretensions of insight!
I know that Jim is with the eternal God held by the everlasting arms. Farewell my friend!

James was a wonderful positive and relentlessly humorous man who it was a pleasure to know and to work alongside. May Marion and his family be given strength and may he rest in peace.

He was a true delight in every way, to everyone he encountered. His last visit with us in Michigan was hugely satisfying. He will always be remembered by us fondly. God bless his soul.
