He was inspiring and intelligent. A great role model. A wonderful teacher greatly respected my all his former students from his many years teaching in Eblana, Dun Laoghaire. He will be missed by all at Eblana.

I played hurling with Jim in the 80s winning a junior championship for Bray Emmets and more recently played Golf together with Ardmore society, where we would often reminisce over a few pints.
