The first time I met Popop was when he came to visit me in Los Angeles. I was 3 months old and he was 83 years old. Since then, we have experienced the most amazing times together. One of my favourite, most recent, memories with Popop was Christmas of 2019. We travelled around Howth and fed the ducks. That night we had a great time popping Christmas crackers and giving gifts. The night felt truly magical. He had such a fun-loving nature and was always filled with great ideas for what to do together. What a special grandfather!
Sincere Sympathy to the Farrelly Family
Sad to hear That Uncle Jim has died. He was a great character and lived a good long life.
He has always been such a fun, kind, generous and humorous grandfather and I will miss him a lot.
I first met Jim 20 years ago in Los Angeles. We became fast friends and defied the classic son-in-law / father-in-law tension. We had a great relationship from the start. I will miss his wise counsel, sense of fun and adoration of his grandchildren. He fought hard to the end to maintain his pride and dignity and that is one of many things I will always admire about him. He will be deeply missed by us all.

Sincere sympathy. I first meet James when he came to visit my uncle paddy Duffy in kilberry and my mother Alice McHugh nee Duffy RIP. I loved James a wonderful kind man who would ring them regularly. He told me he when I spoke to him at sheenagh Meade funeral that he went to school with her and mammy and Sarah callaghan in castletown. I do hope they are having a happy school reunion now in heaven.
