As a teacher, he was diligent and meticulous. As a man, he was wise and possessed a wonderful sense of humour, which brightened up many a day in Morning Star.

I got to know Jim in my first year teaching in Morning Star and we have remained in contact ever since. Jim was as renowned for his humour among the staff as for his dedication to his students. Jim was so generous to me personally in terms of advice in my early days in the school. Those of us who worked with him or knew him in other capacities through the school are in his debt. Rest in Peace Jim and thank you for your enormous contribution to Morning Star NS.

He was a lovely man & a great teacher.
he was my teacher for my communion and confirmation
I knew I was late for school if he passed our house on Connolly road before I left.
