I remember James over 40years ago in my grandfathers shop - Cawleys of Lord Edward St. He drove a truimph Herald at the time, and I have fond memories of his visits. May he rest in peace.
Very sorry to hear of the death of my former Maths teacher James Flanagan - a great teacher and a gentleman. Deepest sympathy to all of his family.

Dear Anne, Anne-Marie, Patricia and Stephen,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. James was a wonderful uncle to me growing up. I have the fondest childhood memories of his great company and his kindness, along with Anne. His easy laughter, the games of scrabble after tea, the great Asterisk book collection he generously shared... My heartfelt condolences.
