I have fond memories of Uncle Fonso when I was a kid visiting Kingscourt from Dublin in the sixties. He gave me a sip of Guinness in Andy Clarke’s corner bar (aged 7 or 8, it tasted disgusting!) and we attempted to play handball in the outdoor handball alley down Main St, Kingscourt. Perhaps a few years later when he moved to Dublin, we went swimming the odd time in the sea at Clontarf Yacht Club slipway. And of course I was an altar boy at your wedding too. Those were the days.
