Dear Joyce and Duncan, so sorry to hear the sad news. James’s gentle presence and support for our singing group will always stay with me. My thoughts are with you all during these times. May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolences Joyce and Duncan. I've known Joyce since our teens in Dublin, then in her Trinity days, and then I met James when they were dating and I at once knew he'd be the one for Joyce, sadly i couldn't make it to their marriage in Japan, but heard all about it from our mutual friend, Donal. On another return trip to Dublin i met young Duncan, when he was just a wee lad. So sad to see James go, yet he'll live on in our thoughts till we all meet again up there.
My condolences to the Fox family.

Dear Joyce, Duncan and family,
Please accept our deepest condolences. May the wonderful memories you shared together sustain you during this very difficult time. We feel blessed to have known James. May he Rest In Peace.
I hate having to think of something to write because I find it so hard to think that James is not with us. It must have been so tough on James to have to bear this terrible illness but he never complained and my thoughts are now with Joyce and all the family. To say that James was special is an understatement. Over the last couple of weeks you only have to read his family and friends eulogies to understand that James righty so had a very special place in all our hearts and his humour and friendship will be sorely missed by us all. I sometimes find it hard to understand why certain tragic events happen but all I hope is that James did not suffer. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad juncture. David.

Dear Joyce,Duncan, and Barry,
I am so sad to hear of James's passing. He was a great friend and such wonderful company since our early Sandford Park days. He will be greatly missed.
Enormous sadness at James’s passing. James was such a wonderful person, the quintessential gentleman, with a widely respected intellect and an abiding interest in current affairs. He was humorous, never loud nor ostentatious and always genuine. James bore his illness with great courage and positivity. It’s been a privilege to have known James. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Our thoughts are with Joyce, Duncan and the extended family. May he rest in eternal peace with fair winds and following seas.
I was very sorry to learn of James's passing in such an untimely way. I can recall fond memories of spending time with him as a young child and at least one birthday party put on by his mother. He was a happy child and supportive of his parents and his family. May he rest in peace
