I was shocked to hear that James had passed away, he always seemed so full of life.
In my days on Relief Staff in BoI I had the pleasure of working with James in various branches in South Dublin. My last time working with him was in Newlands Cross and he was still a pleasure, and so helpful, to be around.
My condolences to the extended Galvin family.

Thank you to the Galvin family for your wonderful hospitality in Killorglin and for making all who travelled feel so welcome. James would have been delighted that so many of his friends & colleagues were in his hometown in beautiful Kerry.
I shall miss our chats and hearing about his cycling holidays in Italy and France, his recommendations on the best places to eat, the banter and how he always got a slagging because he was the loudest when talking on the phone. Most of all because he was very caring, kind and great craic. He gave great advice and was the first to stick up for a colleague. I am incredibly sad that he’s gone and I will miss him dearly x
