The last time I spoke to Jim was when he came home to visit Mrs McDonald (Maureen). He always had time to chat even though he was in a hurry that day. We talked for at least an hour outside his mothers house. Everything from his job to cycling and the craic we had remembering the trouble I got into as a kid....

I'm was so sorry to hear about his passing. RIP Jim .
My deepest condolences on the passing of Jim.....

I was very saddened & shocked to hear of Jim’s passing...i never met Jim but we spoke a couple of times on the phone & we with chatted many times on line about music..
Jim had a deep love of music,
He had asked my to give him Drum lessons online....
I had also expressed to Jim an interest in moving to Australia...and even though we hardly knew each other he said he would do anything he could to help me if I moved to Australia,
I found that very kind & touching..it goes to show the measure of the man Jim was..

Thank you Jim ..I won’t forget you or your kindness ....

Rest in peace my Friend..

Justin Healy
Anne, My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and all your family on the passing of your brother Jim. The loss of such a young man is difficult at any time, but it is so much more difficult during Covid and because of the distances involved. My thoughts are with you.
Belated condolences, having only heard the sad news of Jim’s passing after his funeral service.
Although outside my adolescent age-group cohort in 1970’s Leopardstown, through his friendship with my brother, Jim does stand-out in my memories as a friendly senior who I aspired to be like.
My thoughts are with Maureen, who together with Jack, were great friends and support to my Mum, Joan, in her later years, a friendship which she cherished and spoke of often.
A lovely eulogy Alan – somewhere in my memories I can picture Jim supervising your grass-cutting from the doorstep!
Deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Maureen, Alan, Jean, Anne and extended family.
Sincere condolences to Maureen,Jean,Robert and Hannah on the death of your beloved Jim. May he rest in peace.
Dear Maureen,
We're so sorry. I just wish we and all the people who love you and all the family and especially those who knew and loved Jim could hug you and show our sympathy properly.
May God Bless you and Keep you, and may Jim Rest in Peace.
Gráinne, Michael and the boys .
Mr's McDonald, Jean, Anne and Alan, my thoughts are with you all and with Jim. Your eulogy Alan brought back good memories of the "old days" in Leopardstown and also painted a very good picture of the successful and active life that Jim built in Melbourne. Jack would be very proud of him as I'm sure you all are. Rest in peace Jim.
I wish to extend my sympathy to all in the McDonald family on the loss of Jim. I remember a smiling relaxed friendly guy,who was always kind, as gangs of us played out on Weirview Drive or crowded into McDonalds to watch Top of the Pops as you were the only ones with a TV at the time. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Maureen and family on the passing of your beloved Jim.
