We came to know James very well following his diagnosis and he left a lasting impression on both of us. Not only in the way he fought his own illness but also in the way he continued to advocate for others. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time and may his gentle soul rest in peace.

Dear Marion and your lovely boys. We are heartbroken for you and for our community. James was a gentleman. He had been an inspiration these last couple of years. But even before that,
the was a star. We loved the cheeky tyre sculptues that appeared along the roads. And due the stony walls around here, several times I got to hang out with him while he replaced my tyres and it was never a chore as it was always nice to have a coffee and a chat. I first met James many years ago when, as a young boy, he was helping his dad build their house. Even then he was such a mature, caring and hardworking young man, very like Michael.
It is so tragic to lose him at such a young age. The only consolation is the positive impact he has made on so many people, and to the community here in Kinvara.
