Sincere condolences to the Hunt family on the sad passing of James. I was James’s next door neighbour for a few years back in the early 2000’s. He was always a gentleman, kind, friendly and generous! I know we were never the quietest of neighbours back then, but James never once had a bad word to say to us. I have fond memories of chats at the front doors about all sorts of things, a man who always had time to stop and talk especially if it was about motorcycles! RIP

My sincere sympathy to The Hunt family, friends and neighbours on the sad passing of Jim. My apologies I wasn't able to attend the reposing or the funeral. Jim was a great neighbour, always helpful and looking out for people. I am genuinely saddened to hear about his passing. He was always interested in current affairs, his beloved Cavan and of course we can't forget about the cars! He owed a mini bus which I had previously travelled to school on. That was exciting information for Jim. He will always be remembered for his kindness especially to his neighbour Annie. May Jim's kind and gentle soul Rest in Eternal Peace.

We were all so very sorry to hear of James's passing. He will always be remembered with great affection - his visits on way back from a swim, his vanloads of wood and most of all his love of a chat on all his favourite topics. We send our love and sympathy to all the family and we pray that God will bring you his comfort at this difficult time. We were sorry not to be at the funeral today due to health issues.

I didn’t know Jimmy but I often passed him on the road. He seemed a lovely man and was usually chatting to someone when i saw him. He will be missed around the area. RIP.

Deepest sympathies to Anne, Olga and Leslie on the sad death of your brother. Jimmy was always my link to the past and memories of the Hunt family going back more than eighty years. He was big, friendly and kind and a constant in the local area. In recent years he would send me a Christmas card with an overblown title in a spirit of fun. He was a gentleman in the truest sense.

Sincere sympathy to all my cousins on the death of Jimmy, who was a very kind, caring man. He brought me to the pictures & took me around Dublin over 60 years ago, when I stayed in Drumcondra with his Mum, as a teenager. May his precious soul rest in God's heavenly peace and love.
