Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
James
The world has lost a great man, taken before his time
The heavens have gained an Angel, loving and O’so kind
Jim Bergin was a gentleman, a friend to one and all he knew
A loving husband, a caring father and a doting granddad too
A man owed much by many, repayment he would never seek
A man who loved his church it thought him to be so meek
A love of football and all our children to this his life he freely gave
His weekend to the league’s every Saturday he would slave.
He guided all our children from nursery right on through
James trained and coached our kids to win but also taught them with pride to loose
The community has lost its saint; we know its heavens gain
We now must learn to live, with our loss, heartache and pain.
So Jim we know you’re gone to the premiership in the sky
But we will always ask the question O’ Lord please tell us, ” WHY ”
