Kathleen, Sile, Orlaith and extended Burke Family: May I offer my heartfelt prayer and sympathy on the loss of a much loved husband, father, brother and friend. Jim’s passing leaves a void in a home a family and indeed a village that can never be filled. He will be fondly remembered for the perfect gentleman that he was.’ It was my honour and privilege to hav served with Jim for several years on the School Board of Management. It was in the course of these years that I came to understand and appreciate Jim as a person I could totally rely and count on. For Board Meetings, he would be fully present on time and, if needed, outside of scheduled times to offer wherever support or help was needed. I was really sad to hear of Jim's death. I remember his warm and gentle presence as myself, Síle and Orlaith spent happy summers flitting between his and Kathleen's home, the tennis courts and the park. He doted Síle and Orlaith and was so kind to all their friends.
