James (Jim) Byrden

Jim was the first neighbour we met when we moved into Sion Rd 38 years ago. Jim, Ada and the entire family became a very important part of our lives - through the good times as well as the bad. We could call on Jim any time of the day or night. He had a heart of gold coupled with a wicked sense of humour. Jim will be greatly missed but so fondly remembered. Deepest condolences to all the Byrden family and also to his dear friend Andrea.

Jim was a witty, kind and generous man with hands like meat cleavers. He travelled to Africa with Dad and the banter between them was akin to a scene from the Muppet Show.

Jas was one of my first Seapoint Coaches, he was terrific in so many ways. He also came to know my parents very well in later years and was a great support to both. Easy to know why Jas was so loved, he gave so much to many. Rest in peace
