James (Jim) Clancy

Rest in peace Jim. I have many fond memories of times visiting in Tully West with my Nana (Maggie Bailey). You always brought a smile to my face. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Condolences to Margaret and the Clancy Family.

Jim used come into the Silken most days when I worked there as a chap and used always have the gossip from the town for any of us working. He was a loveable rogue and I always enjoyed his company. That was 20 years ago and I still think of him from time to time. May he rest in peace.

We offer our condolences to Jim's family on his passing. As many have said he was a character, and also our next door neighbour. He knew so much about the area, and in the days when he walked the fields with his little dog, he often left a bag of field mushrooms on our doorstep. He was very independent until his failing health when he moved into Beech Park Nursing Home. Rest in peace Jim.
