James (Jim) D'Arcy

Our sincere sympathy Alma, Emer and both your families on the loss of Jim, he will be missed. Joining you over the internet for his funeral Mass we found Alma's words on him really captured his character and his view of the world. It reminded me of Granny Murphy's explanation to me of Jim's routine. back when you were both very young maybe even before you were born Jim's routine on Friday evenings after work, religiously -he went to Owen Maguire's pub( different name now) for his two pints. She explained ' he loves every bone in their bodies (the patrons)- But not to talk to'!
He had great perception of people and very good natured. We wonder how he would cope in these very strange times. May Jim rest in peace- though I'm sure he'll still be making his observations!
