James (Jim) Egan

Dear Ann and family
I am truly sorry that your lovely Jim has departed from this life. On the few occasions I met him I found him to be charming witty and extremely friendly. He so generously and proudly showed me your garden on one occasion as I was visiting the forest. I know he is a massive loss to you all and his friendly manner is a loss to all of us in Glen Richards. Thinking of you as you go through these dark days May he rest in peace.

So sorry for the loss of Jim. He had a true "joie de vivre" and faced his terminal diagnosis with a positivity and great sense of humour that was inspirational and a true measure of the man. He made it clear that he had a lived a good life and enjoyed it and that his family was the most important thing to him. You were all incredible in the way you supported him and your Mam the past few weeks. Thinking of you all, sending my love and wishing I could have been there in person. The ceremony was beautiful. Well done to all the grandchildren for the readings and David I laughed and cried in equal measure during yours and your Dads eulogy. He was simply the best. Dear Anne, my condolences to you and your family on the sad passing of Jim. I have many fond memories of you and Jim when we lived in Bray. He made a desk for me for my office in 1995, and it has now taken up residence in my office in Co. Kerry. He got a great kick teasing us about being "culchies". I suspect where ever their spirits are, Colm (died 7th July 2020) and himself are having a good chat about old times.
