James (Jim) Maguire

Just heard of Jim's passing this morning. Mary and family just want to let you know I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Always loved to meet you both and enjoyed a little talk on bygone times of Enniscorthy and Wexford.

Looking back over the years we would always have thought of Jim as a very close family friend to Mum and Dad. We have great memories of The fun and laughter that you both brought to the house over a long number of years. Jim and you Mary also being such a great support to Mum after Dad died.

My condolences to Mary and the Maguire family. Wexford has lost a bit of its soul with the going of Jim. He was one of those rare people who spread calmness and joy by his presence. Everything he touched was for the betterment of our community. Choirs, Lions, history and all the other things he immersed himself in. It was a joy to be in his company with his wicked sense of humour and extensive knowledge. I mourn his going but I feel privileged to have known him. Rest in Peace Jim.
