Sincere sympathy to Eileen and Jim's family on the sad and sudden passing of Jim. I first met Jim with Eileen when Siobhán and I went to London for a weekend around 20 years ago.
We met on a Saturday evening when Munster were playing a rugby match. There was no better time to be in Jim's company. We were in a cosy bar, sport on the television, had a few drinks and the conversation flowed. He had an innate ability to put one at ease such was his gentle, soft-spoken and calm disposition. I was lucky to have the pleasure of his easy company many times since then.
Unfortunately, I cannot make it to Spiddal on Saturday but you will be in my thoughts then and in the weeks and months ahead.
May Jim's truly gentle soul rest in peace.
