So sad to hear of Jim's passing.
He will always be held in great affection by anyone who met him - a gentle, witty and kind man. I relished times in his company, many moons ago in Royal Insurance.
And it was always a pleasure to meet lovely Rose at a company 'do'.
They will both be fondly remembered.
Condolences to all the family.

How lucky was I to have Rose & Jim as my aunt & uncle. Memorable times. Jim's stories were fantastic and always entertaining, and I will treasure the conversations about football, cricket and rugby.
RIP Jim

To Mark Louise Susan Jim and brother Frank I send you my deepest condolences on the death of one of nature’s gentlemen-father husband brother and dearest friend of everyone he met - it is fitting though very sad that he should make an exit with as little fuss as possible - as that is the way he would wish it-but it grieves me that I cannot be with you to express my sympathies in person. I cannot add to the tributes expressed so well in the messages above and I know you will find consolation in the fact that Jim and Rose were greatly loved by the many who were privileged to know them . They took me under their wing and had me as a guest for dinner many times in their home when I came to work alongside Jim in College Green - I find some consolation that we maintained contact every Xmas since but I never did get around to responding to his lovely letter when my wife Jean passed away 3 years ago- So I hope in some small way this message will encapsulate the love and respect in which they were held in my house and in my memories- Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dhilis - Liam (Benjy) 57 Ard Na Mara Malahide
