James (Jim) O'Looney

Condolences to the O'Looney family on the passing of Jim. He was a lovely man and was very kind to us when we were neighbours.

Fisrtly, sincere sympathy on the death of Jimmy, a man for whom it is easy to pay tribute. I worked with Jimmy for many years in Gardier St and he was ever the gentleman with a emphasis on gentle! His tireless devotion to the church was inspirational and few could hope to match his attention to detail and diligence. Never overstated, his consistent efforts often went unnoticed. But that's how he wanted it, quietly ensuring that all that was required from the backroom team was delivered.
His kind are few and he should be remembered as a generous person who saw the positives in everyone. Fiona and Derek

Jimmy was an invaluable and beloved part of the community here in Gardiner St. He was warm, kind and a joy to spend time with. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by us all

Jimmy was a lovely, kind man and a loyal voluntary sacristan at Gardiner St for many years. He was always helpful and courteous, and we often chatted about our shared interest in music. Deepest sympathies to all his friends and family. I won't say "rest in peace" because I know that's what he's doing, safe in the arms of his Lord, to whom he was a faithful and trusted servant.
