Dear Michael and Jimmy's Family,
I have only just heard today about Jimmy's passing. I was a friend of Jimmy's from UCD (we were in Dramsoc together) and I was terribly fond of him. Latterly, I was delighted when we reconnected on Facebook, and was so sorry I did not get alternative contact details for him before he left it. I had been talking to him about meeting up with him and Michael shortly before we lost touch as we had both ended up living in Co. Wicklow.
I am reeling to hear this news. Jimmy was a kind, sincere and genuine person with deep feelings. I am desperately sorry for your loss.

So sad to hear of the death of poor Jim. I knew Jim from our group.well ahead! He was a lovely caring man.his at peace now.
My heart goes out to you all at this very sad time, got to know Jim through Wicklow Tennis Club and played many games with and against him, he was a fine tennis player but more than that he was a gentle man and i regarded him as a friend though i only knew him for approx three years. He was always willing to help and always had a word to say with a smile. May he rest in peace and may you all find some peace. Rip Jim.
Dear Michael and Redmond family, We are devastated at the news of Jimmy's passing.
I take comfort in my lovely memories of a great childhood growing up together and our times catching up when I came back on holidays to Ireland. A friend who was kind and thoughtful, he will be terribly missed!
We have made a donation to DSPCA in his memory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and always!
