James (Jim) REDMOND

Was very saddened to hear of Jim's death. Shared many a long drive with him (on the golf course).

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the Redmond family and especially to you Kit. I have lovely memories of our days in the Engineers club with yourself and Jim hosting the apres match antics. Jim was the perfect host on those occasions and he will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace. John

very sad news about Jim. These challenging circumstances make it all the more difficult. I suppose we really need to hang onto all the great memories we have. I personally have many many wonderful ones of Jim, especially when we were in our teens. He would often come to collect us at all hours from Lakelands/Wesley. He was always a good laugh and full of cheer. I always think very fondly of him and I want to remember that. I will say a little prayer for you, Kit. It's very hard to say goodbye to someone who had been a part of your life for so long. I just want to let you know that we are thinking of you all, especially you Kit. have met Jim when he served in comd Engr in Collins bks and we met again in Cathal brugha bks when we both served in 2 LSB Jim gave great serves when he served in the DF with great honour and loyalty and again when he retired to a civilian appointment in DF he was very helpful to all people who required his vast experience dealing with Army personnel and civilian personnel with their pay and what they were intitled to or even their tax problems Jim was a gentleman and will be sadly missed duty done Jim god bless
