My sincere condolences to Jim’s family on his passing, I have such lovely memories of Jim during my time in Ashbrook. I especially remember the two of us racing against each other during a fitness class. If any stranger saw us at it, they would have said we are mad. A girl in her late 20s racing a man in his 70s. He will be so deeply missed especially around the open.
May his gentle soul rest in peace

To James, Nicky and family. Our heartfelt condolences on your profound loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Love Sally and Ian
We are all very saddened at Ashbrook LTC to lose our President. Jim was responsible for a lot of great work at Ashbrook - he oversaw the re-building of the clubhouse; he ensured that Ashbrook ran an Enjoy Tennis programme which brought neuro-diverse students from St. Michael’s House and Cheeverstown to Ashbrook; he drove the publication of a book on Ashbrook's first 100 years; he chaired committees and loved nothing more than setting up sub committees!
However, more than any of those he engaged with all members and made people feel so welcome. Jim always appeared to be in good form and had a great sense of humour. He was a very kind gentleman who was always ready to share a tennis tip. He will be hugely missed by all at Ashbrook. May he rest in peace.
James, Liz & Mags, thinking of you all. Jim was a kind & loving uncle, we have fond childhood memories of him & Lily. A true gentleman, he will be missed by everyone who knew him. RIP Jim

He will be deeply missed by his many friends. May Jim forever RIP proud of his very fine legacy. Frank & Denise
