Belated sincere sympathy to Martin and Michael on the passing of your dear father, Jimmy. I have a faint memory of him playing in a hurling match in Tulla way back when. I last met him at “The Gathering “ in 2013. Also my sympathy to his siblings, Oliver, Kieran, Michael, Mary, Mena, Breda and Sarah.

We send our heartfelt condolences to all members of the Donnellan family on the passing of your much loved and highly respected Jimmy. Jimmy like all his brothers Seán, Noel, Denis, Michael, Kieran and Oliver were extremely talented and proud OC Mills hurling stars. I have fond memories of Jimmy’s sister Mary as my national school teacher, a wonderful teacher and role model. Please know everyone is in our family prayers at this time. Bed of Heaven to you Jimmy. So sorry to hear the sad news of Jimmy's passing. Sincere condolences to all the Donnellans. I have the fondest childhood memories of summers spent in Ms Sampson's house in Whitegate and Jimmy arriving up with an array of fresh vegetables on any given day. He was always smiling, gave us all the biggest bear hugs every time he met us and was just great craic. Himself and Mai would welcome us into their house with open arms and Dad, Mam (Noel & Rose) and Aunt Mary absolutely loved catching up with them and having a laugh. We all remember Jimmy bringing us out in a boat on the Shannon over to Holy Island and the fun we had. Dad honestly wasn't sure if Jimmy would turn up in a speed boat or a kayak to bring us all out and the banter between them was hilarious.
Hopefully Mai and all those who have gone before Jimmy are there to welcome with a big bear hug.
