James (Jimmy) Hackett

So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. We crossed swords regularly in the past when Ardmore Rovers moved out of the WDSL but there was never a low blow. . He always had the interest of Wicklow football at heart.

I got to know Jimmy from meeting him at SFAI council meetings and at the Kennedy Cup in Limerick, he always had time for a chat and was a true gentleman but above all a true football person, he will be sadly missed by all in the SFAI.
