Jimmy designed and crafted our beautiful baptismal font and presented it to the 2010 Jubilee Committee. The font is greatly admired and will be a permanent reminder to us of Jimmy, his skills and his kindness.

Sad to hear of jimmys passing.a neighbour of ours accross the fields in bolaney.we grew up playing up at bolany near jimmys home,he often visited our home on the brickyard hill to have the chat n get mechanical items that had broken mended by our late father pat and visit and tell stories to our late mother mary.He was very much part of a long ago childhood.A great man,craftsman and character theres not many of that calibre left.god rest his gentle soul.another local gone forever just like our childhood all we have left are memories. Jimmy was an institution in Ballycale all his life. So knowledgable about timber, machinery and who was whom. You might have to wait for something to be done but each time you called there would always be someone there and fun. A great neighbour and character. RIP

So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He used to get great pleasure of sitting at the bar counter, ordering his Pint of Guinness and folding his note so small and tight when I was busy to try wind me up. He was some character. We used to have such laughs. He was so talented and loved the banter. Rest in peace dear friend and go sing some songs with the Angels. They will surely love you. So sorry to hear that Jimmy has passed away.A great friend and neighbour.I always enjoyed calling in on the way home from school.Spent many hours in the pit turning the wheel for the old saw bench,or helping in the forge,hit it a dead stroke he kept saying.
