Dear Josephine, you have been in my thoughts all the past few days. Today this poem come my way and I know it is meant to be shared with you. Sending love xxx

When someone is gone,
you can bring them back,
for just a little while,
by talking them into life.
By painting a picture with your memories and your words,
breathing their essence back into existence,
for just a few moments.

When someone is gone,
you can see them again,
for a minute or two,
by being all the things they once were.
By allowing their best traits to filter through you,
shaping your words, your thoughts and your deeds,
back out into this world.

When someone is gone,
you can feel them again,
for just a moment,
by playing their music,
and singing their favourite songs.
By giving yourself up to the notes that brought them alive,
once upon a time, it will again.

When someone is gone,
you can keep a part of them alive,
by giving the love you had for them a forever place in your life,
a forever seat at your table and a glorious chapter in your book.

Stories never die, tell them all.

Sincere sympathy and condolences to the Lynch family on Jimmy’s passing.

He and his late brother Pat, with their great friend and brother-in-law Peadar Hyland, brought some much-needed discipline (on the field, at least !) and no little ability, by any means, to Skerries RFC in the sixties and were major contributors to the club at a difficult time.
Their support never wavered over the years either, and he was a regular and very welcome visitor to Holmpatrick over the years since - always positive and encouraging, always with a smile.
Politics was another mutual interest, so conversation was never lacking, and always interesting and enjoyable.
Great memories of one of nature’s gentlemen.
Deepest sympathy to Josephine and Mary ,

I first met Jimmy in the early 1960s.Jimmy was a member of Dublin Swimming Club and
later UCD Swimming CLUB ,where he graduated with a BComm. degree. We had many wonderful trips with UCD SC and Jimmy was the life and soul of great parties .Jimmy played rugby with Skerries Rugby club and was prominent in the Town’s Cup finals with his late brother-in -law Peadar Hyland. Jimmy’s passing has come as a great shock to me.He was a groomsman at my wedding in 1968. He was a true gentleman , always with a smile on his face.

Dear Josephine.

My sincere sympathy on the sudden loss of your beloved Jimmy. My thoughts and prayers are for you at this very sad and difficult time. May he rest in peace.
So very sad to hear of the passing of Jimmy. I recall all those deeds of derring-do on the rugby fields of the provincial towns of Leinster back in the sixties - with Jimmy a wonderful teammate and outstanding flanker. With Skerries RFC we tried hard but didn't actually achieve very much in the way of silverware - but it was a privilege to be involved with Jimmy and the others and together we enjoyed it all.
Dear Josephine and Mary Deepest sympathy on jimmy’s sudden passing . He will be sadly missed
Rest in peace
First Met Jimmy in 1979 and still remember what a brilliant and witty man he was. He and Jo were such good hosts back then. I always found visiting Jo and Jimmy the highlight of visits to Ireland. To me they represented the sophisticated ‘European’ couple of modern Ireland.. He will be terribly missed.
