I would firstly like to send my deepest sympathy to Alice as I've known her over the years since Primary School at Dalkey School Project, N.S. when I was a pupil in the Resource Class alongside with Eileen Fleming - they were very interactive, inclusive, enthusiastic and encouraging lovely teachers back then and I will always be inspired by Alice and Eileen.
I haven't met the Maher family outside of school ever since but I hope that one day I will get to meet with Alice and family to share my condolences in person as I'm not really keen to be doing it this way online but in respect to this website, I do think it's in respect to the person that went to share the basic information.
I send my love and sympathy to all the friends that Alice has had from the school and she will have that support from them along with her beloved family.
It was thanks to them and the school that I got to know Hugh O'Connell and developed a great friendship with him ever since.
He asked me to pass on his regards and sympathy to Alice as well.
