Rest in peace Jimmy. You were great company, always interesting and knowledgeable on all sorts of matters. Greatly missed these last few years from our annual trip to Paris.

I was very sorry to hear from Paula of your brother’s (brother in law’s) death. I think the pain of losing a sibling is often underestimated: you understand them in a way no one else really can and so the cut is deep. My very sincere sympathy. It sounds like he was a lovely person. I hope the happy memories will soon prevail.

I knew Jimmy as a colleague in the Department but also met him occasionally in the bar of The Halfway House which he informed was also called "God's Waiting Room" because of the mainly older clientele.

His sister (Letty) was one of my best friends, herself and Jimmy were drinking buddies, sometimes I got to join in with them. I know she has the best seat in Heaven and trust she kept a space for him. Rest in Peace Jimmy 🙏🙏

Very happy memories of working with Jimmy in An Bord Pleanala in the early 1980s. A lovely gentleman, a source of great mischievous fun. May he Rest in Peace.
Jimmy was a great man to have a pint with. He was a thorough gentleman and was well respected by male and females alike. Google was never needed when he was around. For all of his talents he was a quiet man but joined in all the craic and his great love horses and wine. Whats the odds he is looking up the next race meeting.

We have known Jimmy for circa 50 years. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. A gentle soul who had a great smile and sense of mischief. A wonderful person to travel with as he was an expert at finding “Happy Hour” bars across the world. Our group of “Paris Jockeys “ have missed him since his final trip in 2016. Sadly his condition made him unable to journey abroad after that time. Sincere condolences to all his family. May he now Rest in Peace.
On behalf of myself and my late husband Peter, who was a great friend and admirer if Jimmy, may you both now be at peace and raising a glass or two together, laughing and reminiscing of the many good times and adventures you had together.
Rest in Peace Jimmy..a truly lovely man.

Wishing farewell to Jimmy on behalf of Catherine (his sister) and her late husband Chris, with the happiest of memories of his regular visits to our home on Sundays. His kindness and sense of humour lifted everyone around him. In more recent times my own family got to know Uncle Jimmy, and are glad to share those great memories too. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Jimmy was a big part of our lives growing up. He was super smart and knew basically everything. He was great for a tip for the races and he knew how to pick an excellent bottle of red. Without him I would not know the pleasure of a great Fleurie. He was gentle, kind, funny and so generous to all his nieces and nephews always slipping us a few quid. Rest in Peace uncle J, I hope they have the best wine waiting for you xxx
Farewell to Jimmy.....a kind and unassuming man.
I met Jimmy on a number of occasions on quiz nights.Needless to say, my team was doomed to fail as Jimmy and his fellow team members always triumphed!
My late brother Chris was very fond of Jimmy and always spoke well of him.

Everytime Jimmy came to visit was a good day. He was a highlight of our Christmas days growing up in Larkins, with his warm character, the craic, and the cards. Smart, witty and kind, one in a million. A kindred spirit and much loved by Joe and Marie (his sister), forever remembered with love and pride ❤️
It has been a privilege for myself & Emma to look after Jimmy’s home in Floraville over the past seven years, and we are grateful to have been trusted with such a special place that meant so much to him.
Jimmy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Lovely words for a lovely Man. We had the best craic with Uncle Jimmy growing up, always messing and laughing with us, giving us a few quid and super generous at all times. May he rest in peace and back a few winners!! X
Jimmy you were the best uncle anyone could ever have had. You were always in a good mood, great fun at Christmas in our house, and always knew the answers in the quizzes! You were one of the nicest people and we were very lucky to have known you. Have a nice glass of red, I know I will in your memory.
Deepest sympathy to Jimmy's family. I met Jimmy when he worked in Motor Tax in Department. Having lost touch I next met him in Clondalkin. We would often just meet in the village and chat, which would often include horses. One of the last times we met Jimmy told me about his most recent trip to the Arc. A lovely kind gentleman. May he rest in peace.
