Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Jimmy. I worked with Jimmy in Clogh and have very fond memories of him. I was very sorry for your loss Kevin and David.
Just by pure chance I got to be introduced to Jimmy through a fellow triathlete in Dublin. Jimmy was a very accomplished Tri man long before it took off nationally. He was ahead of his time with the extent of knowledge he possessed on combined training . Later in my life when I was having great personal challenges in my marriage, Jimmy againcrossed my path. I am forever thankful to him for the respectful understanding he gave to me which in no small way assisted our marriage ensuring we are happily together in our lives. Only hearing through a mutual friend here in Dublin of his passing send my respectful condolences to you all. Ger H.

Rest in Peace Mr. Walsh. You will never know how much you did for me as a student in Clogh. You were the first person that made me realize I was intelligent and that what I had to say was important. You made every student in the class feel valued and your classroom was the only place I ever saw such enthusiastic participation. I have so many core memories that were made in S.P.N.S. and I can credit so many to you. I truly hope you are at peace and I will miss you.

He was more than just a principal or teacher for the students of clogh, he found qualities in everyone of us that we didn’t even know we had. Every memory is a good one from playing who wants to be a fool on air coming home on the bus from swimming every week or crazy golf in the yard on our last day before summer holidays, to the hurling leagues and brilliant Christmas plays we had. He had a connection with every single child that went through clogh school and he will never be forgotten. Rest easy sir thinking of your family through this hard time and sending strength to you all.

My deepest sympathies to Kevin & David, and all of Jimmy's family. He had a hugely positive impact on Clogh N.S. and the community. Great memories of Mr. Walsh as a teacher and school principal, bringing in weekly swimming sessions for the school, along with so many other things that benefitted us all. I fondly remember a trip to Rothe House and Canice’s Round Tower in 6th class, aswell as all the laughs. RIP sir.
