Fond memories of the great food and all the chats we had when I used to go in for lunch during all my years working on the telephone network in Ferbane and surrounding areas.

Sincere condolences to Mary and family during this most difficult time. I have many fond memories of working with Joe and spending time with his wonderful family back in the 90's. As a family run business, you were always made feel like you belonged and were not just an employee. Although I now live in Australia, it brought me a lot of joy when I visited with Joe and Mary last August and introduced them to my youngest boy. I wish for Joe the signoff he would often give to his customers at closing time "Oíche mhaith agus codladh sámh".

Our childhoods in Ferbane were filled with chats with Joe. He was such a huge, character and a most entertaining raconteur. I wish I'd recorded all the stories of family he told, I'll never remember them all. Our whole family feels the loss so keenly.
