James Joseph (Seamus) Butler

My deepest sympathies to Ann Ciara Daniel and Jamie and extended family on the sad passing of Seamus. As an Employee of Butlers Pantry Seamus was the first man to give me a job. Seamus was a lovely man to work for and a mighty chef people came from all over to eat in his Restaurant a lovely man to chat to and have a laugh with. Even though the restaurant be busy on a Friday Seamus would always give me time off to go to the Calf Mart to c the Calves selling and not forgetting to put a Farmers Cap on my Head that a Farmer would have left behind him. After leaving Tipp all those years ago when down visiting I would always call in to the restaurant for a bite to eat. Seamus would come out for a chat and tell me my old job awaits me if ever wanted to go back. May Seamus Gentle Soul rest in peace. Anne Collins Ballyclare Ferbane Co. Offaly

Seamus & Anne purchased their Restaurant premises through our Offices many years ago when they were returning back to Ireland from London from the late Eileen & Des McKeown.
Seamus and his dedicated staff built up a great business local & passing and provided a wonderful service with very tasty good wholesome food enjoyed by his many regular clients including myself on many occasions.

Sending my sincere condolences to the Butler and Connaire families on the sad passing of Seamus. I have fond memories of Seamus from working in Butlers Pantry. Seamus and Anne gave me my first job. Seamus was the "Gordon Ramsay" of Tipperary Town. He cooked the most delicious dishes.
When I lived in London, it was a treat to call into the restaurant for a lovely meal on trips home to Tipp. He will now forever be dishing up those delicious dinners for the good folk in the land high up above the blue skies. Rest in Peace.

It is with immense sadness I hear of the sad passing of our great friend,Seamus Butler. Our sincere heartfelt condolences to Anne,Ciara,Daniel,Jamie,also his brothers and sister, and all the extended Butler Families.Seamus was a legend in Tipperary town for all the gorgeous,tasty lovely dinners served to so so many hungry people by himself and Anne over many years in Butlers Pantry. Indeed,twas the highlight of many a day,the banter, the craic, the ball-hopping and atmosphere was unmatched.Thanks Seamus,Anne,and staff,Winnie & the Esmonde’s Sisters for the great memories.
