I’m so fortunate that I was able to meet Uncle Gus when we travelled to Ireland many years ago. I will always remember his warm laugh, his fascinating stories and his love of history and knowledge of all sorts. He truly had the soul of a bard and will be greatly missed. Xoxo
Uncle Gus always had sage advice . He possessed a sense of wisdom and was always kind to share that advice. He lived life to the fullest, travelled the world, was an enthusiastic life long learner, and remained grounded throughout it all. His reflections on his childhood in Sligo has been captured beautifully in his book for which I am eternally grateful as his legacy will carry on.
I will miss the sound of his voice, his laugh, his sense of humour and his guidance.
To Susan, Sean, Luke & Oscar,
