Jimmy Purdy - what a fantastic person! As a young teacher, going back almost 40 years, Jimmy was most likely the first person I met arriving at my place of work and the last person I met leaving. He was always so positive and so cheerful (always delighting in the company of others) even on a bitterly cold, very wet and very dark day in November! He was generous with his time. He cared about everything and everybody. A man of integrity. A man for others. We offer our sincere condolences to his family on his passing.

Jimmy was a lovely gentleman. We had chats and looked at his grand daughters Rachel's book about Jimmys life ,when he was awake at night. It was an honour to be his night nurse in Sybil Hill. Rest in Peace dear Jimmy.
