It was with deep regret that I heard of Cousin Jim,s death. My late dad Paddy Hennessy and Jim's late mother Nan were brother and sister. Jim and I used to meet from time to time over the last few years. He loved to talk hurling and especially the last few years about Limerick hurling,it was like "meanna from heaven " for him . I got many old family photos of my Grandparents and uncles from him . He was a truly gentle person who cared and appreciated people.My sincere thanks to Cclr Brigid Teefy for contacting me on Jim's sudden passing .Jim was,now I think the last proud connection of the the Hennessy,s , with BALLYBRICKEN, "Slan abhaile mo chara agus coladh sabh,"R.I.P

It is with deep sadness that I heard of the death of my 1st cousin Jimmy Quinn. He was an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to meet. He had a very sharp memory and knew so many people by name. He was very well known in Limerick city because he worked in Barry's butchers on William Street. I remember a few years ago being on O Connell Street with him and the number of people who spoke to him was amazing. I wish to express my sympathy and deep gratitude to his extraordinary good neighbours. I am aware of your outstanding practical kindness and goodness to Jimmy. I am looking forward to meeting you in person on Tuesday and Wednesday to thank you all in person. May his gentle soul rest in peace and may he be reunited with his father Tom and his mother Nan.
