Sincere condolences to Nora and family on passing of Séamus. He brought great joy to my childhood through his piano lessons and I will always cherish the wonderful memories he created for me through his good spirit.

It was my pleasure to be his classmate in Coláiste Iosagáin from 1962 and he was respected by all as an absolute gentleman. James exuded the highest qualities, and his integrity was recognised and respected by classmates and teachers alike.

I have fond memories of Seamus as he taught me English in Colaiste Iosagain (1984-1987). He was a kind and Patient man who always made time for us. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

I was fortunate to have met James playing cards in Inchigeela over the last while , what a lovely man, sincere sympathy to all his family. May he rest in Peace.

Proud of his parents, family and deep Christian values and faith, James was a daily mass goer who showed kindness to many and was a conscientious, valued and respected member of the community. I had the privelege of knowing James since he taught me over 40 years ago and of travelling many a mile with him as well as on pilgrimage abroad on a number of occasions. He was intelligent, humorous, humble, generous with his time and talents, spoke at least six languages, was sociable but also happy in his own company with the birds, bees and classical music. He had a great interest in his students, past and present, tried to instill in them a thirst for learning and showed a great belief in them. I was so sorry to hear about James. He was a good friend of my aunt, Kitty Fuller, Clounties, Dunmanway. He was always kind and patient as he brought her to play cards and when she was unable to go, he used to visit her. I met James a few times and I can only describe him as a true gent and a genuinely nice guy. Rest well James.
