Sending deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Seamus, especially niece Maire. Only learning of the sad passing of Seamus today. Seamus was a true gentleman and most helpful colleague when I worked at NUIG many years ago. May he rest in peace.
I was so sorry to belatedly hear of Séamus's passing. Séamus was a wonderful psychology lecturer and later, colleague, of mine in NUIG. I have very fond memories of lovely chats and a lot of laughter. I learned a lot from Séamus - he had much wisdom to share; and I always enjoyed his company. He was very supportive and kind, and his contribution to psychology in Ireland has been enormous. I will never forget Séamus.

Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí ar a anam uasal.
I was very sorry to hear of the death of Séamus. My sympathy to Nábla and Pat, the McLoone family and his many friends. Séamus was Head of Department when I came to work in Galway and he was always very supportive and encouraging. From being a founder member of PSI, along with his work in disability services and the university, Séamus did much to further the role of psychology.
My sincerest condolences to the family and many friends, colleagues and past students of Séamus McLoone. He was an inspirational lecturer to me and many others, and I used what he introduced to us many times in my later work. He was always kind and generous in his time, and answered our questions fulsomely and with precision and tenderness.

I particularly remember the whole semester of teaching us how to cite and reference the work of others - the detail and specifics were so important to him and what he taught saved me a much time and energy over the years. Séamus was a very gifted educator and we were honoured to have had the benefit of his skills, passion and insight.
We wish to offer our sincere sympathy to The McLoone Family and all Seamus,s loved ones. He was a wonderful colleague and friend over many years
May God Console you all at this very sad time

Ba le croí trom a chuala muid gur bhásaigh Séamus Mc Loone, fear lách agus léannta, a bhí flaithiúil lena chomhairle thar na blianta. Ba bhreá le clann Mhic Fhionnalaoich Séamus a fheiceáil ag bualadh isteach chugainn in Ard na Mara, agus ba bhreá linn eisteacht leis, mar bhí loinnir an ghrinn ina shúile.
