My deepest sympathy on the passing of Jimmy.What a gent over the years always up for the laugh and had good words of wisdom.i was very sorry to only learn of his death today and missed his funneral but heaven has gained a great man last week. It was good to have got to visit Jimmy in the nursing home at times over the year's. He used ask for people and unfortunately most of the time they had passed on to their eternal reward.Hope he now is reacquainted with all those friends in his heavenly home. RIP jimmy.

It is with the deepest regret that I learned of the passing of my good friend and neighbour, Jimmy Shaughnessy.

Jimmy was the one and only person in my entire village who stood at my door when I was at the lowest ebb in my life.
His first words to me were, "Is there anything I can do for you, Seán?"

Without Jimmy's help that year my turf would have been left in the bog and I would have been without heat for the winter.

Jimmy was a good man, a kind man, and a thoroughly decent gentleman, and I shall never forget his kindness towards me when I needed somebodies help the most.
That in essence was Jimmy Shaughnessy.

Now that Jimmy is gone, I will miss him greatly, but I will never forget him.

My only regret from having known Jimmy is that I didn't get to see him more often when he was in residence at the Fearna Manor Nursing Home.

May Jimmy's gentle soul rest in peace.
