Our condolences to Jan’s family on his passing. Jan was our neighbor in Kinvara and was so kind and welcoming to us. We had great chats whenever we met; such a lovely, sincere man and an excellent craftsman. We’ll miss him.

I have lovely memories of Jan from the time he lived in Mulrany. He was a lovely friendly talented person. His windows that he made for my late parents are still in my house. RIP. Kieran Masterson.

Rest in Peace dear Jan

So sorry we can't be at the Trauerfeier today. Jan was such great company! While he was living in Westport we had countless evenings of fun and stimulating conversations in McGings, often followed by food and a glass of wine in Il Vulcano. In the early 90s he made all the windows in our house and later on our dining room table. We lost touch a bit after he moved to Kinvara, but will always remember him as a great friend and highly skilled craftsperson. He will be sadly missed, RIP Jan.

My sincere condolences to Jans relatives and all who now miss him like I do. Jan has been part of our life in Louisburgh for over 20 Years. He shared in a lot that happened in our family and we were privileged to be part in some of his life events. All of a sudden it is hard to think of him and know he is not there any more!

So sad to hear of the death of Jan, a lovely man and part of village life, always kind and pleasant and always working away in his shop. He did such a fine job of framing and was a pleasure to chat with. Will very much miss walking past every day waving to him or seeing him in Tully's for his quiet pint after work. A sad loss for the village and his friends.
