It was with great sadness to hear of Janes passing, we rented above her for over 2 years in lovely Monkstown Gate and she was the most kind and warm lady . Happy to have known her and she was such a friendly neighbor to have. RIP Jane xxx
It is with great sadness that I learned of Jane's passing. In my early days as a young singer, she was hugely encouraging and supportive to me. With young musicians, her generosity and energy were unsurpassed. I will always be grateful to her.
Thank you Jane, may you rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy to the Carty family on the death of my sister in law

Deepest condolences to the Carty family. Jane was a powerhouse of enthusiasm, activity and passion in everything she did. I owe so much to her, from giving me my first radio broadcast when I was in school, to her committed support throughout my career. She did so much for so many young Irish musicians and her legacy will live on for many years to come.
Rest well Jane. We will never forget you and never cease to appreciate all you have achieved.
RIP Jane…. Not just a supporter of young musicians, but also young radio presenters…. Forever grateful.
Thank you, Jane, for encouraging and nurturing a love of music in so many young people in Ireland. I personally remember as a teenager the thrill of getting into the RTE studios to perform and be recorded for the Pianist of the Future competition. Jane’s reassuring voice and lovely smile calmed my nerves! My sister, Gráinne, who sadly departed just one month before Jane, was the Pianist of the Future that year. And Jane never failed to support Gráinne over all the years. Rest peacefully now, Jane, after a remarkable life.
May Jane rest in God's peace.

Francis Xavier:

I was very sad to hear of Jane’s death and I join with her many friends in their warm tributes.
Jane and I started in Pembroke School probably at the age of 5 years and we both went on to Leeson Street School some years later. I have many memories of her in those early days.
My deepest sympathy to Ciaran, Francis Xavier and extended family.

Our deepest condolences to the Carty family, we have great memories of Jane at many family parties over the years. Jane was full of life and always at the center of the conversation and full of fun and laughs.
It's hard to imagine a world of music without Jane Carty. A champion of young musical talent and also a dear and kind friend. She touched my life in small but powerful ways as a colleague and caring friend. RIP Jane. So many lasting memories for everyone who's lives you touched.
I was in school in the Convent of the Sacred Heart , Leeson St. with Jane. I’m so sorry to read of her death She was so talented in so many ways Her music interest and expertise were well known but she also was a great believer in enjoying life Rest in Peace Jane
Sincere condolences to all Jane's family on her passing. From competing in the first RTÉ Musician of the Future competition that she launched in the newly opened Radio Centre in the 1970s (and even before that, making recordings with her in the old Cork studios too) Jane was always a wonderful mentor and support. With her endless enthusiasm, always fostering emerging talent and putting it on the air, she was the ultimate exemplar of all that was best in public service broadcasting.
Condolences to Janes family and friends. It was a pleasure to do her hair.

I have the strongest memories of Jane, as a young child in the 1970s - hiding quietly in the corner of the Studio One Control Room in RTE Radio Centre, or at home, hearing the sound of her bracelets coming down the hallway, heralding what was always laughter, excitement and a dash of mystery.

I saw in Jane, at this young age, that working in this world of music required endless hard work, determination and a real sense of adventure, but crucially that it could also be accompanied by laughter, humour and the making of the closest of friendships. Jane didn't just live in this world, she defined whole continents within it.

My thoughts are with her family and many friends. RIP Jane x
Sincere condolences to Jane’s family.
May she rest in peace.
I find it difficult to believe that Jane is no longer with us. I considered her indestructible. I worked together with her to start the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year and her enormous knowledge and expertise were simply invaluable . She was a fount of specialist knowledge and enthusiasm. Her interest in young musicians was inspiring.
My condolences go to her all her family in their loss.

Sadly missed by your former secretary in RTÉ, Bríd. You were a wonderful boss.

She was a wonderful person who gave so much help and encouragement to countless young musicians as a teacher and broadcaster.
In particular, I remember her as an adjudicator on the School Choir Competitions with Prof Brian Boydell and myself.
May she now be at rest.
Ceol na n-aingeal go gcloise sí agus gura móide teaghlach Dé a hanam dílis.
I was so sad to hear the news of Jane’s passing. She was such a beautiful, fun, glamorous, bubbly and Chatty Lady. I have such fond memories of Jane especially at the late night parties we had in her niece’s Estefania’s house. Rest in heavenly peace Jane reunited with your beloved Wil.
Jane was a force of nature. The world will be a poorer place without her. I first remember her as a fearless competitor in Feis Ceoil. She was kind and generous to a fault, She was a pupil of Lily Huban and the only difference they had was about Chopin as she did not like him as a composer, but she changed her mind about it! I next encountered her as she arranged the RTE competition for young Irish artists and started them on their careers. She gave so much to so many young musicians who have not forgotten it. The Monkstown Music Festival brought more joy to Monkstown, Jane had a gift for devising programmes and bringing people together. I'm sure that her family have multiple memories, as we all have, of her smile and her gracious personality. Ireland will remember her contribution to music always.
Jane Carty was a force of nature. It is hard to imagine a world without her. She was kind and generous to a fault. I first remember her as a fearless competitor in Feis Ceoil. She was a pupil of Lily Huban - the only difference they had was when Jane decided that she did not like Chopin, but she soon changed her mind. I next encountered her when she organised competitions for young Irish artists and started them on their careers. So many owe so much to her. In later years she held the Monkstown Festival with similar joy. Jane's family have a wealth of memories, she always looked so beautiful and perfectly groomed, O Jane music was in your veins, thank you for giving so much and for all you gave so many people.
I was so very sorry to learn of the passing of Jane and I extend sincerest condolences, on behalf of Patricia and myself, to her siblings and all the family circle.
Jane was a true force of nature, totally dedicated to supporting talented young musicians in their ambitions to make careers as professional performers. It was through Jane that I was awarded my first recorded radio recital - a 15' slot on Radio Eireann. And I was one of so many to whom she extended this practical support and encouragement.
May she Rest in the Peace she so richly deserves and may she Rise in Glory.
Sincere condolences to Jane's family and friends. We learned to know her as a kind neighbour at Monkstown Gate. She always had a warm smile and a few kind words to us and especially our kids. Warmest regards, Hanna, Jaska, Verna and Veeti from Finland

Our sincere sympathy to Jane's family. She was at the heart of so many exciting musical activities over the years and was an extraordinary supporter of young musicians at the start of their careers. Sincere deepest sympathy to Francis X,Ciaran and the extended Carty family on the death of Jane. May she rest in peace.
I will miss Jane dreadfully. I first met her as my theory teacher at the Municipal School of Music in the 1950s. As she was during the rest of her life she was great fun, charming, so knowledgeable and completely inspirational. I was so upset when she left to work in RTE but that began a different relationship. We worked a lot together in many ways. She was always supportive of anyone who furthered the careers of young people in music which is why I asked her to chair the Preliminary Irish competition of the Dublin International Piano Competition from the first one in 1988. Her enthusiasm was infectious and she drew people to her wherever she went. When I visited her in hospital a few weeks ago she still had the sparkle, the laugh and the smile that I will always remember. My main comfort now is that she is with her beloved Will again.
Sincere condolences to Jane's family circle from the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of Ireland and all those connected with the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year Competition. Rest in Peace, Jane.
Jane had such great energy, spirit and a sense of fun. Highly knowledgable in her field, and unwavering in her support of young Irish talent, Jane offered many singing students their first recording experience at RTE. I am forever grateful to her for all the opportunities she gave to me at the early stages of my career.
RIP

I grew up to have a life in music and I feel indebted to Jane for the great start she gave me. My sincere condolences to all the family.
