Sincere condolences to the Hogan and Kenny families on the sudden and sad passing of Jane. Her warm and open personality will be deeply missed by so many in Galway, but especially her family. We had a lovely chat at Blackrock with Billy and Jane last May (2023). It is hard to believe that she has passed. May she deservedly Rest in Peace.

Sincerest condolences to Jane's extended family on behalf of all the members of Water Safety Ireland nationwide. Jane's father was the first Chair of the organisation and as for father and daughter's wishes to promote the safe and enjoyable use of our wonderful waterways, the apple didn't fall far from the tree. RIP Jane.

I was so sad when I heard this news. Mrs Hogan was always so warm and caring. She always went around the school with a smile and a camera in hand! She was always so approachable, encouraging and genuinely interested in each and every student.
I feel very lucky to have had her as a teacher. She will be deeply missed.

I went for my daily swim on Wednesday 8th November the day after our beloved Jane's death. When I arrived Blackrock was being lashed by heavy rain, great black clouds overhead, hundreds of white horses made their way to shore there was an air of gloom and sadness. We huddled together all reminiscing about our dearly departed friend Jane. Soon the gloom lifted as we all recalled wonderful happy moments, so many of these recorded forever by Jane.
I left with a smile and thought how lucky we all were to have had Jane as part of our Blackrock community. Slán Abhile Jane.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Jane Hogan. I'm so grateful to Mrs. Hogan for letting me crash tea time so often during my year abroad in Galway. (Just what she needed another mouth to feed) I have such fond memories of Brown Bread and oranges, hearty laughs, and an invaluable parenting tactic. When I had children of my own I adopted the policy of retiring with a Glass of Wine after tea and let my kids do the clean up! She and the whole Hogan Clan made quite an impression on me. She leaves quite a hole to fill. My heart is with you all.
